One of the hubs of the organization, the production department is responsible for the manufacture of Asbuton’s range of products. The department is made up of four distinct units: Asbuton production operations, Bitumen Operations, Asbuton plant operations and Asbuton blend production plant operations.

This department is responsible for mining and exploration of the asphalt areas of Buton Island and for resource evaluation and geological studies of defined resources in potential deposits areas. The department’s mission is to provide accurate and precision data as any further detailed exploration of the Buton Island asbuton deposits should certainly avail themselves of the up-to-date, detailed geologic information being gathered by SIPINDO Ltd.

The Engineering Department supports the manufacturing arm of the organization. This department provides technical services in respect of installation and maintenance of process equipment. The department ensures that there is adequate and reliable supply of utilities (steam, air, water and electricity) and provides a number of services in respect of general repairs works.

The Research and Technical Services (RTS) Unit at SIPINDO Ltd. provides the technical support to the Organization. It is responsible for the technical aspects of the operation and provides services from Quality Control, solutions to challenges in the field and technical support for distributors and clients in all areas where Asbuton products are used.

The international business unit is responsible for the development of international business through joint ventures, alliances and the administration of our distributorship network. The IBU works along with an International Advisory group and strives to continue the development of the organization in respect of the development of a global mindset.

This department is responsible for payroll, accounting, information technology, purchasing and all other financial services of the Company. The department is charged with the responsibility of ensuring that adequate internal systems of control are in place to ensure the long-term viability of the company. Information systems is a critical asset and this unit is support the growing network of computerized operations within the company.

This department is comprised of a number of units that provide support to the operational areas of the organization. Among the support services are employee relations, security, safety, human resources, corporate communications and legal counsel. The department’s mission is to provide effective corporate administration services to assist the company in the achievement of its strategic objectives as well as to select, retain and train a productive, motivated work force.
